Brief of Manjushree Vidyapith School and Orphanage

Manjushree Vidyapith School and Orphanage, managed by the Manjushree Charitable Society (registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, Reg. No. SR/ITA/580/1999), was established on 30th October 1998 with a mission to provide quality education and holistic development to underprivileged and differently-abled children. Founded by Lama Thupten Phuntsok, the institution envisions education as a transformative tool to empower children and break the cycle of poverty.

The school offers a comprehensive educational program within its premises, ensuring that every child receives regular classes, personalized attention, and access to learning resources. Students are nurtured in a supportive environment that emphasizes equality, care, and dignity, alongside academic growth. After completing the 10th standard, children pursue higher secondary education at nearby government schools and continue their studies at colleges across India.

Since its inception, 76 students have successfully graduated from various colleges and have gone on to careers in government and private sectors. Many alumni have returned to Manjushree Vidyapith as teachers and mentors, contributing to the growth of the institution and sponsoring younger students. Currently, 50 students are pursuing higher education in institutions across Itanagar, Delhi, Guwahati, Himachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, and South India.

Beyond academics, the school integrates holistic learning experiences—including STEM education, field trips, computer lab activities, and extracurricular programs—preparing students to excel in higher education and become responsible, socially conscious citizens. Through these educational initiatives, Manjushree Vidyapith continues to empower children, equipping them with knowledge, skills, and values to build a brighter future.
