Lama Thupten Phuntsok was awarded as follows:

1. On 26th June, 2004: “State Gold Medal” award from Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
2. On 14th November, 2006: “National award for Child Welfare” from Department of Women and Child Welfare, Government of India.
3. On 5th April, 2007: “Padmashri” award by President of India.
4. On 28th June, 2013 : “Atithi Devo Bhava” award by Department of Tourism Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
